other. A text course does not have an audio presentation to go with
it and an audio course has no text.

The commission structure for Success University is extremely
complicated. Even the most sophisticated Internet marketers can
have a lot of trouble understanding it. So we're not going to go
into it in too much detail here. We'll leave that for another time.
But basically the commission structure is based on an Australian
2-up system. In other words, you can only have 2 people on your
first level and then everyone you bring in goes under them, thus
helping the people you bring in. (Except in this plan, you don't
lose commissions to your upline like in a 2-up.) There are pluses
and minuses to this system that are far beyond the scope of this
article. And then, as if that isn't enough, they throw in a monkey
wrench called a fast start bonus which is a one time commission paid
to each person upon initial signup of their members. The amount is
determined by the level they are at which is anything from Student
to Ambassador. Yes, this can get quite complicated.

Yes, there is no question that Success University is a very
exciting affiliate program. The number of members they bring in

Turning a Difficulty Into an Opportunity

Words of wisdom from my friend Tyler Martin:

"One of the quotes in a book I was reading recently really caught my attention. Here it is:

an obstacle and opportunity?
It's our attitude towards it.

My sister is a good example of a thinking big and turning a
difficulty into an opportunity.

A couple years back, she wanted to make some extra money while
raising her two children. She asked me how she could earn a little
extra on the Internet. She had zero technical skills so there
wasn't a lot I could suggest.

At the time, I knew a little bit about online surveys and decided
to research the various services. I found one that appeared to be
real so she gave it a try.

she's done her part by completing them. She doesn't make a fortune

I have a confession to make: I did not join Success University for the outstanding residual income program it offers. When I made a decision to start my own home business, my intention was not to replace my regular job, it was just to supplement it. Like so many people, I had successfully scraped by for over 20 years while raising my three children. We have never had any real luxuries, but I was able to provide a stable home, food on the table and even an occasion budget vacation. In fact, two of my children were already through college, and one of them had a beautiful wedding last year, complete with most of the nice trimmings.

Fortunately, I had no plans at all of every retiring because there is nothing left over. I am very happy to have been able to provide all of these things, but nowhere in my vision was there any allowance for then being able to enjoy my life once my nest began to empty. Being fairly young when I jumped into parenthood, until my grandson came along and my own mother moved out of our childhood home and into a senior living facility, I really did not give a whole lot of consideration into needing just as much money when I reached this new stage of my life at a fairly young age. No plans had been made for my childrens' or my grandchildrens' inheritance.

Now that I no longer have to attend daily practices and sporting events and parent-teacher conferences, I have extra time on my hands. And so, much too late, I begin my journey of making and saving the income for what I will survive on with the bleak prospects of Social Security in our country, and what I would like to pass down to my family when I leave this world. Sure, you can run a minimally successful business from your home on a part-time basis. Setting a goal like having a successful home internet business without first seeing a real vision of it being so successful that you can replace your 9-5 existence and have all the things that a successful business can afford means you fail to appeal to your subconscious mind. You must use pictures that compel -- see yourself not bothering to set an alarm clock each night, planning trips to dream destinations, investing money wisely without worry. If you cannot see it, you will never have it.

The subconscious mind will draw on whatever is at hand. If poverty and failure are the only materials available, they will be drawn upon and they will certainly
continue to show up in your life. But you CAN change the vision in your subconscious.

First, be more conscious of spending your time with people who have similar goals and vision. Are you afraid to tell a close friend about your goals? If so, they are not as close a friend as you may have thought. Seek out mentors to guide you on your path. Try an online mentoring program such as Success University.

Look at your past in a more positive light. Turn your past into a source of strength, not weakness and self-defeat. If necessary, change the way you speak and think about yourself. This is where positive thinking is important - in the thoughts you have about yourself.

Finally, build your vision by creating pictures in your mind, as vividly and as often as possible. Again, the support of an organization like Success University will provide you with daily reinforcement and help in this area of personal reorientation. When your subconscious is impressed with a clear vision it will work towards your goals by encouraging you to take action or respond to opportunities. It must be a sign of the times. In days past, people fought to keep their personal failures out of the public eye. Nobody wanted to be exposed as bankrupt, homeless, unemployed or a convict. These days, with foreclosure rates at an all-time high, it seems nearly everyone has had some kind of financial or personal crisis they have had to overcome.

In fact, it seems to be the common theme within the internet marketing advertising world – sad luck stories of how two years ago this guy was bankrupt, or how just over a year ago this woman was a single mom living on food stamps. Matt Morris, before he founded Success University, was penniless and living out of his car. Johnny Wimbrey, SU’s National Training Director, was raised in a shelter for abused women after suffering at the hands of an alcoholic parent. One of his brothers still serves time in prison today.

Society’s indignities make for great marketing material. Why? Because their desperation became their motivation. The ability to pull themselves up from the very bottom, with virtually no specialized training and precious few resources makes the victory all that much sweeter. These stories make “regular folks” like you and I think, “If they can do it, I can certainly do it!”

Now don’t get me wrong: because you have a roof over your head and the ability to pay to keep your utilities on each month does not mean you have no shot at success. And never will you hear me say you should try each and every program on the internet first before you come running to me for my nuggets of wisdom on how to quit your 9-5 job.

But here are some of the things that, alone or as a complete set, seem to make aspiring affiliates all the more willing to follow the instruction of a sponsor they know will see them through on their journey to financial independence:

· Disgust – you have reached your absolute wit’s end with your current situation, whether it’s living hand-to-mouth or paycheck-to-paycheck, and though your boss may be getting rich, by your estimation you’ll need to live and work to the age of 140 to have enough money to consider retirement.

· Desire – you want a better life for yourself and your family and you fight to hide the fear in your face when the hot water heater starts leaking or the family car begins to make a funny noise. Little Jane comes home from school and says her friend down the street is getting ready to go on a cruise with her parents for their summer vacation, and you know they went on a safari last year, and you figure nothing ever breaks down at their house.

· Discipline – sure, there are only so many hours in a day, but most of us never stop to think about how much time we really waste. You may not have a college degree, but are you teachable and trainable? I’ve heard it said that when we stop learning, we stop living. So even if it takes a while longer to figure out HTML, you are willing to commit the time you normally spend watching your favorite television programs to picking up a new skill.

· Desperation – you have got to change your situation. The commute is killing you, and your annual sick leave is always used up by April. You are buying lottery tickets each and every week, but you know you are never going to win. There is no “get rich quick” scenario in your future, so stop gambling with it.

You don’t have to look hungry to be hungry. If having your own business is something that interests you, do it. Stop thinking about it, because if you’ve never had your own business you have no idea what to expect anyway. Start by committing your time and the talents you already possess. You know how to do things that you may not even know are going to prove invaluable in your own business. What are you afraid of? Failing? If you never try, your failure is guaranteed.

Time Management for the Home Business Owner

If you have your own home business, you know the value of being able to manage time effectively on a daily basis. In order for your new business to succeed, it must be treated like any other full-time job. In fact, if you also happen to be blessed with a family and a home to care for, they are probably the major incentive you had to even start your home business – and the subject of all of your hopes and dreams each day.

Let’s analyze our time. We all think of it in different terms: long, short, boring, stressful, valuable, the best time in my life, horrible, the good old times. This is because time is a very personal thing. And because it is so personal, the only person who can really control how it is spent, or saved, is the individual. Although it may seem to be something you do not have a lot of say in, ultimately you can choose to either waste it, or make the best use of it.

So does time really have a variable speed? When you have tons of things you would like to accomplish in a certain period of time, does it really tend to move faster? And when you seem to be waiting endlessly for news or something you have been anticipating, does time then slow down? Being the boss of your own time is not something you are going to achieve overnight – it is an ongoing process.

My personal experience is that there is a direct correlation between the amount of available time and how badly you really need to "get things done." Because of this, a true overachiever will never feel a real sense of satisfaction, or “time well spent” unless at the same time they experience the symptoms of total exhaustion!

Will power is another important ingredient to maintain focus on the tasks at hand. Why? Because distractions are everywhere: the telephone rings, the neighbor comes for a cup of coffee, the children come home from school, laundry needs to be done, dinner needs to be started, you trip across an interesting website on the internet – well you get the idea.

Here are a few tips how to get started controlling your time:

First of all, analyze your present situation. How are things going in your life and business right now? Make a list of everything that works fine and another one of items or habits that should be improved.

Next, visualize the best of all time schedule you can come up with. When doing this, do ńot worry how to accomplish it. Just picture it in your mind and feel it as if it has already happened and is a reality. Compare the two – if you dońt like what you feel, it is time to change the picture.

If you go deep into the feeling part, it will provide you with the right motivation to change your present unsatisfying situation. You can always go back into that visualization of your ideal to get the support and power for your actions.

Now you must prioritize. Make a list of your daily tasks and evaluate their importance. Maybe also make a list of daily, weekly and monthly tasks. This will only help to lessen your burden for a short while, because tasks without priorities are always going to reside in the back of your mind. When you have sorted out a few and written them down, give them a number according to their importance. You will soon notice that the number of tasks that are really urgent is a relatively small number. You may also see that quite a bit of your day is probably spent on things that could wait.

So at this point you have separated the urgent from the less important. Your next assignment is to figure out at which working speed you are most comfortable. As an example, for me it is totally unacceptable to do things in a hurry. I live by the rule that a job worth doing is worth doing right – the first time. In an office setting, it is said that you should handle each piece of paper in your inbox once to avoid inefficiency.

I want to be satisfied with my work, so I tackle each task completely before moving on to the next. Once you are comfortable with certain elements of your job, then you can estimate how long a certain task will take you to get it done. In my line of work we can use writing an article like this for guidance. Since I have written quite a few articles, unless I have to do extensive research during the process, I have a pretty good idea of how long to allot for an article to be proofed, edited and ready for distribution. So before I even sit down to begin writing, I ensure that I have at least that much time, barring unforeseen circumstances, to complete it without interruptions.

And finally, it is your business and yours alone, so you must be decisive. Decision making is one of the most important tasks in a home business. Sure, you can go to forums or other business owners and ask for input, but “the buck stops here.” This means that the both the consequences and the rewards of each decision are yours, so my suggestion is that you try to be so aware of each important decision that you write them down in your business diary or daybook. This will keep you on track and give you the means to look back, follow your personal development and the progress of your venture, and also be able to justify any recommendations you may give when mentoring other new business owners. Please do not decide in advance that you will never offer guidance to others – we all have a moral and ethical obligation to give back or “pay it forward,” as our way of showing gratitude for our successes.

We are given only 24 hours in each day, and it depends totally on the set of values we carry in our hearts and minds how we experience time, indeed how we spend our lifetime. Sometimes we tend to get lost in greed or certain material goals which do not guarantee a life of happiness and fulfillment. Maybe once in a while it would be a good idea to evaluate what value we place on our lifetime. It is totally up to us to change anything that does not satisfy us.

Success: How Do You Define It?

Honestly, we see the word thrown around constantly. If you, like me, are a fan of self-help and motivational books and tapes, you really get a double dose.

“You can have success!”
“Success in 5 easy steps!”
“Success is yours -- follow our simple program!”

If you are a human being with any kind of vision or dream, success is your ultimate goal. But what does that actually mean to you? How do you define success?

Sure, we all want success, but our definition of it is as unique as our reasons for pursuing it. What I consider a success, you may just consider a total failure. It’s just like when you were in school. Some people were ecstatic to get a B on an exam. Other people considered achieving anything less than an A on that same exam to be a personal shortfall.

When you close your eyes, what do you think a successful person looks like? Do you imagine someone with an expensive car, sporting a Rolex watch? Who do you idolize? It could be an award-winning athlete winning a gold medal for your country in the Olympics. Your hero could be a Pulitzer prize winner, or a great contributor to humanity, like Ghandi, Mother Teresa or Martin Luther King, Jr.

Or do you imagine a person surrounded by friends and family, with a huge, smiling face and a wonderful attitude to be the most successful person in the world?

If we have achieved each and every goal we have set for ourselves, but are not happy with our achievements and our life, can we really consider ourselves truly successful? First, we must clearly define our own terms of success.

Consider this: if achieving our immediate or long-range goals does not bring real fulfillment, perhaps those goals that we pursued were not our own. Our parents, peers, teachers, and even our mentors may have their own views of what should constitute success for us. Ultimately, it could take a long time and, sadly, a ton of frustration, to truly comprehend that these successes are not really ours, and never were.

There are just so many different definitions of success. Before we travel the long road on our individual journey to our goals, we need to ensure that we truly understand our own vision of success.

As an example, let us say that you own your own Internet home business. Naturally, you want it to be successful. But what does this success look like for you? Is it enough extra income to take your family on a nice vacation every year? Do you want it to bring you a full time income so you can leave your current job? Or do you aspire to be another Matt Morris of Success University and overcome all adversities and go on to make millions of dollars? Which of these scenarios comes the closest to your dreams?

One of Matt Morris’ favorite sayings is that if your dreams don’t scare you, they just aren’t big enough. Yes, we all have to set our goals high, but if your idea of success is to be a millionaire, the most important thing you will ever learn is how to celebrate your successes along the way. Your heart should leap with that first check you receive, no matter how small – and the next check, and the next one, as you watch them grow.

Then, you will have learned to be successful every single day. With each new skill we learn and then perfect, with every day well spent, with every task we complete, we have made an investment toward reaching this wonderful goal. If you can end each day feeling that you have made some progress toward realizing your dream, then you are indeed a successful person.

Here’s an example. One of my biggest goals is to become a professional speaker. However, I don’t think that I am not successful because I have not yet achieved that. For me, I am successful if every day I am able to motivate an affiliate on my team to move on to the next level with their own business. Sharing the knowledge that I have gathered on my own journey in business and in life takes me one step closer to my main goal. I have other successes, personally and professionally, which I consider to be stepping stones towards more confidence and greater achievement.

While we are aiming for the stars, we also need to look around us and see where we are successful every day. So ask yourself the following: What is important to you? Write a list of your important values such as integrity, humor, family or freedom and make sure your goals fit in with these. When did you last feel happy and proud of yourself? What were you doing, or what had you achieved?

If you want success in life there are many resources, such as life coaching, or online websites such as Success University. But first you need to define success on your own terms. Once you have done that, you take action to achieve it, and you can achieve it every single day.

Reverse Funnel System: Results of My Research

If you know me, have worked with me, or have visited my home page, you know that I am absolutely adamant about thoroughly researching each program and product that I recommend. What good is branding your name if you become known as a person who jumps on any affiliate program bandwagon that comes along just to make a quick buck?

Over the last couple of years, I have tried and dropped probably a hundred times more products and programs than you see listed on my website today. Why? Could be one of many reasons: they do not pay their affiliates as agreed, the program did not produce the results stated or implied in the advertising, the product did not meet expectations -- you get the idea.

I also tend to prefer programs that can either be used as a primary income, if the affiliate is so inclined, or can be easily integrated into an existing Internet marketing business to add an additional income stream. And I would rather the opportunity not require a huge outlay of money, just in case the potential affiliate does not find that it works for them. The fact is, I sponsor hundreds of affiliates, and our team's whole structure is based on trust and support. I will not betray that trust, ever.

Having said that, when I first analyze opportunities one of the very first criterion is a recommendation from Warrior Forum. If you are serious about making a living, full- or part-time, on the Internet, you should not only be familiar with this group, you should be an active member. The “best of the best” in this field have gotten their start on the Forum, are regular visitors, are active participants, have introduced ideas and new programs, enter joint venture deals and are available on a regular basis to assist any member, from “newbie” to veteran. It is, in effect, a family. In fact, with few exceptions, I join any new program in another Warrior’s downline so I know I have a person I can go to for guidance and support.

Next, you know how you always hear it take 8 exposures to attract a prospect’s attention? Well, it takes me a LOT more than that. I am a skeptic and have seen too many programs come and go. New product “launches” do not typically interest me at all. Pre-launches? Never! Tried and true, that is my motto. Work the bugs out, perfect the system, get some paychecks out to affiliates, and THEN I’ll listen to what is being offered.

Rarely have I seen the excitement and support in forums, blogs, ezines, newsletters, traffic exchanges, classified ads, networking websites and articles everywhere – as I have seen, and am seeing now for Reverse Funnel System.

Prospects are pre-qualified in the two-stage entry into this program. It is very personal, nearly completely automated, and has an unbelievably high conversion rate. The earnings potential for any person at any education level is enhanced by their very thorough training program. No experience in MLM is required. One huge temptation for experienced network marketers is not allowing the system do the selling for them. If you want to be successful with this program, it’s important that you allow the system to do what it does so well… and that means taking a back seat in the sales process.

The TWO Fundamental Beliefs

Words of wisdom from "The Jackal":

There are really two fundamental beliefs that
we need to address. I assume you have them already
but I better not assume anything and spell them out.

1) The first belief you've gotta have is to
*PREFER an OWNERSHIP ROLE* over a Job mentality.

2) The second is that you *believe THERE IS A WAY*...
that it IS POSSIBLE for you find success.

Let's drill down on each one.

Start with a fundamental belief
that you can do it and that it's
possible just because you said so!

A simple decision allows you to switch from a
job mentality into an ownership mentality.

That doesn't mean that you quit your job today
(in fact, you can start your internet business
part-time and leverage and gain momentum).

Then decide whether it's something that you want
to do. Whether you want to exit from your job
situation or you want to just use what you're
learning here to augment what you're doing currently.

That's first core belief. Number one, it is
possible to go from a job mentality to an owner
mentality. Then the second piece of that puzzle
is it's possible for me to do it.

"Yes, I can do this!"

I'm telling you that success is learned,
these mentalities that Napoleon Hill, who wrote
Think and Grow Rich, studied in the most successful
people of his time. He interviewed well in excess
of 50 of the most successful people of his time.
We're talking about Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison,
Henry Ford, and Firestone. We're talking about
all of the big moguls of this time.

He interviewed all of them.

He discovered two very interesting facts in his
interviews. His whole come-from was that he wanted
to learn whether success left clues, so to speak.

He learned two things that changed me life forever
(and it will change yours too, if you let it):

1. YES, there ARE a common set of traits that
ALL moguls possessed (he discovered 13 of
them that they all had in common).

2. Not one of these super successful people he
interviewed were born with any of the 13
traits... they were ALL LEARNED skills which
means that it's possible for anyone to LEARN
these set of common skills to get rich!

(if that doesn't excite you, I don't know what will)

So Hill discovered that not only did the super
wealthy have a common set of skills but that
every single one of those skills/traits were LEARNED...
which means...

is that the most successful people all have a

overcome. That's just a reality of LIFE.

There's always challenges to overcome.

If you don't have a real BURNING desire to have
freedom, success, and riches then you'll give up
at the first minor setback or challenge that
gets thrown your way. But if you DO have a
BURNING desire, nothing will deter you because
you know that all obstacles are ALWAYS temporary.

That with a burning desire, you will conquer
whatever comes because you know there's always
an answer that will turn it around for you if
you ask the right questions and expect to find
the solutions you need.

The more compelling reasons why you want to
build something, the greater leverage you have
to accomplish it. Show me somebody with a big
enough 'why' and I'll show you someone who's
making things happen.

Another of the common success traits Napoleon Hill
discovered was successful people all gathered
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE (which is what this report
is really all about, giving specialized knowledge
that you can use to manifest into tangible wealth).

There are all types of learning that you can go through.
The most valuable in learning is actual experience.
It's the most valuable learning that you can take
advantage of.

However, it's also the most expensive.

What will it cost you to blindly try different
things without knowing what you're really doing?

Trial and Error is a great teacher for sure,
but it also tends to HURT (plus, much of the hurt
can be eliminated when you get good at gather
the right kind of specialized knowledge).

That's what happens when you have an

the hand and gives you real world experiences
through their specialized knowledge so you can have

the shortcuts, strategies, and the ways to be
efficient and effective with time. But they learn

So it is with business and why taking the time to
learn is probably one of the most valuable pieces
of information, but here's the key. You've got to
really identify this key question with specialized
knowledge.

Who am I learning from?

Who am I learning from? Most people learn from
their friends, their families, their co-workers
and so on.

There was an interesting concept revealed years ago
by either Mark Victor Hansen or Randy Gage.

That concept said if you will add up the average
income of five of your closest friends, if you
average those five closest friends' average income,
chances are that yours is going to fall right there.

It comes back to who are you learning from?
Who is your coach? Are you learning from someone
who's successful?

Because I promise you someone who's got a mind set
of earning $50,000, $70,000, $90,000 CANNOT mentor
you how to make $200,000. Likewise, someone who's
in a job with a $200,000 a year SALARY CANNOT teach
you how to make $200,000 in a business (they may be
a good mentor to show you how to play politics and
work your way up the corporate ladder to reach that
salary, but definitely NOT qualified to teach you
about owning your own business).

As the old concept goes, if you feed a man a fish,
you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish,
you feed him for a lifetime.

It's really the mind set and what we're talking about
in relation to the Think and Grow Rich concept,
the principles. Taking advantage of specialized
knowledge is the ability to take the time to learn
from people who are documented and successful.

It's also important to understand that your
learning is happening whether you're doing it
intentionally or not.

What happens is that you end up learning from
your peers. You end up having habitual learning
patterns develop unless you decide to control
them yourself. When we talk about learning in an
apprentice-type situation and being careful who
you're learning from, the question isn't,
"Are you learning?" because you are;
you're learning all the time.

You're following the lead of the people
around you. The question is,

"Are the people who you're
following leading you really and
truly where you want to go?"

That's why it's so important that you understand
your inc0me will be an average of the incomes of
the people who influence you most (or the people
who you hang around the most with on a regular
basis, who you spend time with, who you consider
to be friends or family).

Take the five closest people next to you,
add up all their incomes, and then divide by five.

Bet you discover it's downright spooky that
it's the exact income you personally make
plus or minus a little bit).

The good news is that if your inc0me isn't
where you want it to be, then you just need
to raise the element of the people who you're
hanging around with, i.e., look for new areas
that you can learn from.

Learn from the people, make your quest to learn,
and discover how to do this, a lifelong journey
so that you raise your element of who you're
learning from on an ongoing basis.

Now this special report is going to do a lot of
that for you. If anything, hopefully, what
we're going to do is we're going to open your
eyes to the possibilities that exist out there.

Besides the possibilities, is that not only is
it possible, but people have done it time and
time again. People have literally taken $20
and turned it into $1 million.

It's *not* debatable whether it does work.
It *does* work.

The question is will you be able to duplicate
that process? Will you be able to take these
principles and duplicate it?

That is all going to come down to your belief
in yourself and then your belief that it's

Have you ever noticed that very successful people
have no problem making a decision. They decide
their course of action and then immediately execute
their decision. They do their homework and
then pull the trigger fast on their decisions.

So, what's your decision about starting your
own business? Is it something you're going to try?

As Yoda said in "Star Wars" years and years ago,
for some of you who've never really seen "Star Wars,"
the character Yoda had this saying,

"There's no such thing,
Luke, as try; only do."

The amazing part of it is, are you planning to
win or are you hedging your bets? Think and Grow Rich,
identified the wealthiest people have an innate
ability to make decisions quickly, efficiently
and effectively. They rarely change their minds.

Unsuccessful people, however, on the other hand,
have a tendency to be very casual (and dare I say,
even LAZY) in their decision-making process.
They're the type of people frequently who say,
"I just need to think about it or take my time."
But in reality they truly aren't thinking about
it all. In fact, they use it as an excuse to
POSTONE making a decision at all.

Once they actually finally get around to making
a decision, whenever that might be, they usually
change their minds frequently.

Successful people have the ability to make
decisions quickly, efficiently and effectively
and stick to it; unsuccessful people waver in
their decisions, they hem and haw.

Then once they make a decision, they change
it all the time. But the true definition of a
"decision" means "to cut off all other possibilities."

It come down to personal responsibility.

When a successful person makes a decision,
they take full responsibility for that decision.
Right or so-called "wrong," that doesn't matter
because they take full responsibility for the
decisions they make.

They take ownership of their decisions because
they know the only way to true freedom is the
"buck stops here" attitude.

Besides, there's really no negativity or
positivity assigned to that decision.

The only thing to think about is
"Did that decision take me closer to where
I want to be or further away from where
I want to be?" Then you can make another
decision from there as to what's next.

Compare that to unsuccessful people.
They always want to shuck responsibility.
They want to put the responsibility for a
decision that they made on somebody else's
shoulders, for example,

Blame. Victim-hood...

"It wasn't my fault that didn't work out
because of all these other exterior circumstances
that are outside my control. Now it's not
my fault that I didn't meet the deadline."

Or, "It's not my fault that I didn't have
success," or "I got screwed...."

If the decision you make doesn't lead you
where you wanted it to, the successful person
takes full responsibility for where they are
because they know that's the only way they can
maintain total control over their mindset.

And that's what gives them the ability to
make a new and better decision so they can
overcome the obstacles and get closer to
where they want to be.

You may feel rushed for time, but by building your ideas slowly and therefore more thoroughly, your business is more likely to succeed.

Contrary to what you may have heard, it does take money to make money. So you’re a “newbie” to the wonderful world of internet marketing. You want the freedom that comes with owning a home business; you want to set your own hours; you want to “make money while you sleep.”

You have a terrific sponsor in your program, one who sends you tons of helpful hints on how to advertise your affiliate gateway website without spending a bunch of money. You’re on a very limited budget, so you join multiple traffic exchanges and manually send links to tons of link directories and maybe you even set up a free blog that has a link back to your affiliate page.

You are on the right track! And low and behold, you start to see traffic trickling in. Now you have a couple of affiliates under you, and you keep in touch to encourage them to do exactly what you’ve done: start slow, build strong, get your feet wet in internet marketing.

A couple of months down the road you haven’t made more than a couple of dollars because your affiliates also joined for free, so you ask your sponsor how to step up your business, because at this rate you will be 120 by the time you are able to retire from your 9 to 5. “Multiple streams of income” is his response, and he sends you a link to yet another affiliate program. Why didn’t I think of this myself? Twice as many prospects, twice as much income, and my road to retirement just got cut in half.

You join, you gather banners, and you head back out to where you started – back to the traffic exchanges, where you surf until you pass out to build up enough credits for 30 lucky people to see your banner; and then it’s back to the link directories where you cannot find your first link to save your life, but it’s out there somewhere and now every single person who surfs the net will be exposed to not one, but TWO of your links. And you mentally start spending the profits. Maybe I will be able to take my family to Hawaii next year….

Two more months go by. Now you have 16 affiliates in the first program and 3 in the second. But this time you don’t need your sponsor, you know what to do – you go out and find yourself a third affiliate program! First you encourage your existing affiliates to join under you (f you still have any), then its back to your old routine for traffic generation. Problem is, a whole year goes by…and you still haven’t managed to bring in an affiliate check for more than $6, and your boss wants you off the net and focusing on your day job. So those otherwise wasted hours between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. are spent surfing and submitting links. After a couple more weeks, you’ve quit your dream of becoming a wealthy internet entrepreneur and started snatching up every hour of overtime that your boss offers you. Your spouse is so happy to get back to the EBay auctions they used to visit before you took over the home computer, and your kids can do online research again without having to go to the library.

So this is to the affiliate program sponsors out there: shame on you! You deserve to lose your affiliates if you’re just collecting downline using them. They are people, not stats! They have families, dreams and budgets; they trust you to care about all these things. You have a RESPONSIBILITY to tell them the only way to succeed is to focus on ONE site, chock full of affiliate offers that you have taken the time to investigate with your own memberships so you know they pay out. Your affiliates are slaving away at their computers, putting in 20 hour days wasting time submitting affiliate links that either end up obliterated by the tens of thousands of other affiliate links or their affiliate number is being chopped off so the potential affiliate can jump above them in line. Affiliate marketing is not just a numbers game, folks, it’s about nurturing that affiliate that answers you each and every time you send out a team broadcast email to tell you how excited he is about working with you.

EDUCATE your affiliates: they are not your competition, they are your future! Autoresponders are a wonderful thing until they are the only communication a floundering affiliate has with you. If you take the extra time, they will too, and their affiliates will succeed because they will follow your example. And who knows? You may next be answering your affiliates’ emails from a laptop on the beach in Maui while your kids are splashing around in the surf…..

11 Steps to Achieving Your Dreams and/or Desired Lifestyle

Now the key is to learn from them and then take action. I can tell you that all

I'm going to share with you my 11 Steps to Achieving your Dreams and/or desired
Lifestyle that I have pulled from all the Success Principles I have learned over
my 9 years of doing Network Marketing and Home based Business.

Step-1
Find an Accountability Partner or Mentor to help you through the obstacles and
challenges that will block you on your Path to Success. Make a commitment to
help each other and communicate openly throughout the entire process.

Step-2
This is the part where you have to be coachable and trainable.
I'm going to ask you to do a 2 minute exercise. After you read this paragraph
close your eyes for 2 minutes (set an alarm if needed) and practice what I have
written below:
You must block your negative thoughts and remove the negative people around you.
Now Center yourself, and think of only positive things in your life. Surround
yourself around all these good thoughts and all that you want to give to the
World. Speak out loud your dreams- What do you want your life to transform to?
What type of life style do you want? Ok, now close your eyes!

Ok now that you have visualized your dreams and spoke into existence your new
lifestyle you are ready to create a dream board. Now remember you need to
remain coachable. I have had reps tell me, "I don't want to do this! I just
want to know how to market over the internet" However, I can tell you that you
don't become a great internet marketer with out first going through this
process. You must create a solid foundation first!

Step-3
Take out a piece of poster board and/or get a notebook with a cover that you can
slide pictures into the front and back of it. Now get out some magazines or go
on the internet and print out the dreams and the lifestyle you had imagined when
you had your eyes closed. This dream board will constantly remind you of why your are working hard and making sacrifice to
reach your dreams. It is intended to help you remain positive and stay focused.

Clue: Matt Morris, President of Success University practiced this technique
when he owned no company, was heavily in debt, lived in a 1 bed room apartment
and Success University was only a brief thought he had written in a day planner.
Now look at Matt! Brand new dream house, just recently married, millionaire,
living his dream lifestyle, owner of a multi-million dollar company. Now if
that isn't a clue I don't know what is!!

Step-4
Create small attainable goals toward these dreams and lifestyle.

Take out a piece of paper and create the following sections:

Spiritual
Family
Physical
Financial
Social
Educational

Now begin to create your initial goals that you want to achieve. Below each
goals write specifically why you want to achieve this goal.

Now again, I want you to close your eyes and imagine how you feel as if you have
just hit that goal. Once you have felt this feeling. Then write it down as well.

This will allow you to really internalize the goal and you may find that it
didn't make you feel that much different and that maybe you really don't want
that Goal. If this is the case, then create a new goal or even a whole new
Dream that fits what will truly make you happy and be in line with your true
purpose.

Step-5
Make a weekly schedule and map out all of your present commitments and
obligations. Then with the remaining blocks of time write in that you will be
working on one of your goals. After all blocks of time are filled, then go back
to the categories in step 4 and write down the total amount of time you will be
spending towards each area of your life. This will allow you to see if you are
in the proper life balance you want to be.

Step-6
Create Action Plans to achieve each goal. What exactly will you be doing during
that time you blocked off? For example- If you blocked 2 hours for working SU.
Then what will you be doing?
You could be making a list of people to invite for 45mins then take a 10 min
break then you could be e-mailing and/or calling for another 45-60 mins. and
then taking another 10 minute break
before your next block of time.

Step-7
Measure your efficiency and hold yourself accountable. Did you follow your
plan? Or did you procrastinate? Did some fears arise? If you followed your
plan, great. If not, then work to figure out why not. If you need to talk with
your accountability partner or mentor about why you didn't follow the plan or if
you encountered fears, then do so ASAP! You must breakthrough the fears and
other obstacles holding you back from completing the tasks within your action
plan. If you don't you risk the chance of becoming stagnant. Then record your
daily events and feelings in your Personal Success Journal

Step-8
Plan to Celebrate your Success!! Plan a way to celebrate after you completed a
full action plan. And also create a reward that you will give yourself once you achieve each of your GOALS. Place pictures of these rewards on your
dream board as well. It will further motivate you.

Step-9

Celebrate your Success of achieving each accomplished Goal with your
accountability partner/mentor.

Step-10

Create the next Goal and repeat Steps 3-8 until you have reach your Dream and/or
Lifestyle.

Step- 11
Celebrate for reaching your Dream and/or Lifestyle. Then Repeat Steps 1-10.
Reflect and review the journey you just undertook and pull out the lessons you
learned, the challenges you overcame, and the feelings that were felt. Then
write these down in your journal.

For many people, starting a home based business may seem like an incredibly daunting task. After all, there is much risk involved. For people who are used to subsisting on a regular salary, the thought of not having a regular stream of income is frightening. They may have a multitude of small home business ideas, but it just seems like the implementation of those ideas are too impractical.

Unfortunately enough, many people live in a small financial world. They just don’t have the courage or the imagination to venture out on their own. After all, there just seems to be too many obstacles in one’s path. Here’s a list of what most people have to say about using a small home business idea:

Not enough capital. This is one of the primary obstacles to starting a home based business. After all, what business can begin without capital? What most people do not see, however, is that a home based business requires less capital than other, more traditional business models. After all, you already have your headquarters/office – the house itself. So you already save money on that. With a small home business, overhead is drastically reduced.

Too risky. This is what really gets the goat of most people. Receiving a salary is “comfortable.” As long as you go to work and achieve a few standard goals, you can be sure of getting a regular paycheck. At least, that’s how the thinking goes. But did you ever stop to reflect that it is the “comfortable” salary that presents the real risk? By saying that a home business is too risky, you are assuming that your job is completely safe; that you have this job for life. Unless you own the company though, that’s probably not true. In other words, by thinking that you are secure, you might neglect to prepare for the future – an all too common mistake.

Will take too much work. This is another excuse that most people will use when confronted with a home business opportunity. If you feel that your small home business idea will take too much work, it most probably will! Your negativity will defeat you even before you begin. However, if your idea will help you reach your dreams, why should you shirk from a little honest work? If you have been in this world long enough, you should know two very basic things: First, that life is short; and second, that there is no such thing as a free lunch. In other words, you have limited time to enjoy this little planet of ours, and the only way you will be able to do that is if you work. If you have a good small home business idea, why not give it a try? You never know: this just might be the first step to the rest of your dreams.
